MDB Consulting has developed a suite of basic text mining tools which are the foundation for medically related applications to assess risks and outcomes. This suite includes lexical scanners, syntactic parsers, dictionaries and pipeline processors. These tools are used as the foundatation for components which tokenize text for higher level applications.


MDB has also developed a series of higher level tools which are used to build analytical tools and text databases for risk assessment, clinical research and outcomes analysis.




MDB Consulting provides a suite of workflow tools and applications designed to support the processing of medically related data. All standard medical data types are supported. The workflow is plugin based to provide modular tools to process the data including HL7, XML, RTF and text. Non-standard data types can be processed by creating plugins.




MDB Consulting has created windows-based imaging and scanning applications for the capture of hardcopy information in medical settings including surgical forms, release forms and many others. This suite also includes processing image files from third party applications. The captured information can be stored in databases of the customer's choosing including ORACLE and Windows databases.



MDB Consulting has developed integration tools to support data interchange for the purpose of archival of medical information in databases and associated file systems. Data from systems is passed through an integration layer to tools which prepare the data for archival. The tools wrap any data in a standard XML wrapper which includes meta-information which is used to index documents in database vaults. The documents can be stored in the database or in file systems configured for archival.
